Shannon Buth

Center for Early Learning Director

Shannon became the Director of Christian Education for St. John's Lutheran Church and Center for Early Learning in August 2007.She graduated from the Director of Christian Education and Elementary Education programs at Concordia University - Chicago in May 2007.In her free time she enjoys drag racing and automotive work, painting pottery, and singing.

Judy Turek

Center for Early Learning Teacher
Three year olds

Judy taught at St. John's from August 1991 to June 1996 and returned to our staff in August of 1999.She received her degree from Western Illinois University, Macomb, IL. In her free time, she enjoys taking walks and watching her grandchildren.

Her philosophy of education is: Learning should be fun. To help a child develop physically and mentally.

Renee Tysma

Center for Early Learning Teacherís Aide
Three and four year olds

Renee has been at St. John's since August of 2001. She graduated from United Township High School, East Moline, IL.

She is married with two children with whom she enjoys spending as much time as possible. Her philosophy of education is: To make children feel so special and to know that they are loved!

Wendy MacDonald

Center for Early Learning Teacher
Three and Four year olds

Wendy has been teaching preschool at St. John's since August 1996. She graduated with a degree in Early Childhood from Black Hawk College, Moline, IL. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Her philosophy of education is: Provide a safe and fun learning environment that promotes social physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development.

Pam Sims

Pre-K four year olds

Pam has been teaching preschool at St. John's since August 1989. She graduated from Scott Community College, Davenport, IA. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and cooking.

Her philosophy of education is: To provide a safe and loving environment. Make the childrens' early years of learning an exciting, challenging, and fun experience. To get them ready for kindergarten.
